Overview: MCP does cold heading and hot upset forging in-house. Collaring and upset forging can be used to eliminate welded subcomponents such as washers and turned shapes.

Materials: low carbon steel, alloy steel and stainless steel Competitive Size Ranges: 0.1875" diameter thru 0.750" diameter Competitive Volumes: 50 to 2,500 per order, 100 to 25,000 EAU Tooling: MCP makes our cold heading and upset forging dies and tooling in-house and already has many common shapes and sizes available. For custom upset forged applications, such as non symmetrical shape, annual volumes should be at least in the 500/year range in order to make the tooling investment worthwhile.
